The patented mennon® screw mounting
The technical drawing shows five times enlarged details of a logitudinal section of a camera lens with a standard filter thread.
A mennon screw type lens hood is screwed into the filter thread and fixated with the patented mennon screw mount.
You can see in the drawing that mennon screw mount lens hoods have the same threads as standard camera lens filters.
If you know which filter size fits on your lens, you also know which mennon lens hood fits. IW in millimeter is the size of the fitting standard filter and also the number in the designations of mennon lens hoods.
Example: Measure the Internal Width IW of the filter thread of your lens or find it in the camera or lens manual.
If it is for instance 55mm, then the mennon DC-sn 55 (or another mennon screw mount lens hood with "55" in the
designation) fits on your lens.
mennon lens hoods with screw mount can be mounted fast and precisely within a few seconds on any lens with a standard filter thread:
1. Screw the lens hood into the filter thread of the lens.
(By completely screwing in, the hood is firmly connected to the lens.)
2. Turn the hood backwards until the white triangle is at 12 o'clock.
(The higher sides of the hood are exactly in the correct perpendicular position.)
3. Fixate the hood with the lock ring in that position.
(Hold the hood with one hand in the correct position and apply the lock ring with the other hand like a lock nut.)
The original mennon screw mounting is patent protected. Patent number CN 2733405Y
